Jeff Conine (Mr. Marlin) to Retire

Jeff Conine, one of the Florida Marlins most loved players from the championship years will get to retire on Monday as a member of the team.

The Miami Herald is reporting that Conine, known by fans as Mr. Marlin, has signed a 1-day contract with the Marlins so that he can officially retire as a member of the team. Conine was traded to the Mets last year and actually played his last game against Florida.

If you can get tickets to the opening game of the Marlins 2008 season you will get to see one of the best finish out his career.
