Rice: House of Kabob

Looking for an affordable place to eat on Miami Beach is not that difficult. Streets such as Ocean Drive and Alton Road are lined with shops and restaurants filled with diverse foods from different cultures. The hard part is finding the hidden gems that lie deep in the heart of SoBe, extraordinary restaurants that offer experiences worth remembering. Among these buried treasures is?Rice: House of Kabob. This local chain establishment offers many dishes from Persian culture, each of which have a special flare and taste. The menu is set with three main options (in addition to various side dishes). These are the three types of meat: Chenjeh (tenderloin), Kubideh (ground sirloin),?and?Joojeh?(chicken). The three meats can be integrated into a platter dish, a wrap, or served with sides. These sides contain many vegetarian classics such as falafel and hummus. My usual selection is the?Chenjeh wrap, served with a large order of pita and hummus that my family usually shares.

Every time we visit one of their stores, we are greeted by cheery, helpful staff encouraging us to try new items on the menu and calling “Have a Rice Day” as we leave. The locations I have visited are always clean and orderly, with plenty of dining space and cool ceiling lamps. In addition to Miami Beach, Rice has locations in North Miami?(where my family usually frequents), Brickell, Doral, and Kendall.
